The Job:

CloudFactory is building a WorkStream Browser based on open source Chromium codebase. The browser is a locked down heavily customized towards our needs of security, monitoring, visibility, fraud detection, and easiness.

As a Software Engineer, you will work with a remote team to build highly reliable and secure software. Your major responsibility will be to build the browser, from development to release and also maintain it. You will follow chromium coding standards and be an advocate of best coding practices by doing a code review of junior developers. You will be also responsible for conducting timely sync up with chromium upstream to make those changes available in CF browser.

You will need to work closely with the product, marketing, sales, and delivery team to understand the needs and provide the solution, make development as needed. You will be working independently and also be a team player.

The Fit:

You enjoy identifying solutions to the problem and view it a way to grow and challenge yourself. You have a strong knowledge of C++. You are comfortable coding in Python and open to learning new technologies as it demands.

You love working by yourself and also value teamwork. You not only get the work done but also believes in sharing knowledge to the team. You maintain a balance between the quality of the product and the deadline.

The Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in C++ development
  • Hands on experience on Windows API
  • Working knowledge on Python programming language
  • Good working knowledge of git to manage the codebase
  • Strong debugging capability
  • Comfortable with REST API integration
  • Open to learning new technologies and challenges
  • Experience of working on building and maintaining a browser
  • Clear English writing communication skill

Additional Beneficial Skills

  • Knowledge of Omaha protocol for auto software update
  • Working experience on chromium browser development
